1) The period between the French Revolution and World War I has been called the “Long Nineteenth Century.” However, we could really extend this time to include the Second World War. This is largely due to the continuity of several major political and social events that dominate this 150 year period. Look at three (3) of the following major political or social events: The Congress of Vienna, Revolutions of 1848, the Scramble for Africa, the Paris Peace Conference, and the Holocaust. What were these events and how did they shape the formation of Europe? Remember you must look at three of these political and social events. Be specific and provide plenty of details.
